| Video/Mashup 1 of 3! Every home in Sandbridge with central air has a heat pump (or multiple heat pumps). There is no public gas in this area, though some homes to have onsite propane tanks for stoves/ranges/ovens, fireplaces/gas logs, outdoor grilles, and swimming pool heaters. The homes that don't have central air have window A/C units for cooling, and either electric baseboard heat or kerosene heaters for heating. Most homes in Sandbridge DO HAVE central air, however, and I am only aware of 3 or 4 of them that DO NOT have it. I saw a lot of homes while walking through Sandbridge, and the majority of the homes seem to have dual-zone (2 separate units for the upper and lower levels). Even some of the smaller homes (that appear to be less than 2600 square feet) seem to have multiple units. The house we rented when we came to Sandbridge back in 2008 was 2 stories and about 2500 square feet, and it had 2 York Affinity 3S heat pumps. There are still several homes that only have one heat pump, but most that I have seen have two units. Some of the really large homes even have THREE (3) units! The homes that have 3 heat pumps are typically 2 to 3 stories and are in excess of 5000 square feet. There was a house right down the street from the one we rented this year that was more than 7500 square feet! I do not think I have seen house with 4 heat pumps yet.
